4th grade Science
The fourth grade has just completed an in-depth study of a science unit about weather.
During this unit the students studied the atmosphere and its layers. They also learned about cold, warm, and stationary fronts.
The fourth grade has also learned about the tools that predict the weather. They have learned to predict weather just by looking at the clouds.
As a project, the students researched weather situations, like hurricanes, ice storms, hail storms, tornadoes, etc., on the internet and completed a power point presentation in computer class.
The unit ended with a visit from WLKY meteorologist Matt Milosevich.
